Feeling Nylon and the Preview at 15 Party

Clothes by WAGW

Attended the Preview- Havaiana’s cocktails at Maya and the Preview anniversary party at Penthouse straight from the airport last Saturday! Good thing I already had make-up on from my shoot! Many thanks to Dior Co for the awesomely awesome smokey eye! It was such a big hit! Also, many thanks to Jun Escario for my dress. I was supposed to wear Jun’s lovely creation for the cocktails and Camille Co’s stunning skater inspired PEFTA dress for the party, but there was a bit of a car accident/fiasco, and I never got to wear Camille’s dress! :( So sorry Camille! It was absolutely beautiful, and Im devastated that I wasn’t able to wear it!

The party was a hit though! Penthouse was super crowded as the night drew on. I guess they didn’t care for the guest list anymore since everyone was pretty wasted already.

Anyway, Its monday again, and that means back to work!

By the way, the facebook scammer/identity theif is still alive and kicking. Please delete/block user, and help me spread the word!

Heres to hoping

Hello Manila!

Traffic was INSANE today. It took me two full hours to get to Ortigas from the airport! I went over to SM Megamall (because I didn’t know that the sale was mall-wide) and saw the freakishly long lines to get in F21. People were coiling around the entire wing! I walked past the line and I swear I could hear snickers (probably girls saying “She has no idea what she’s in for!”) I asked the girl in front how long she’s been in line, and she said she’s been there since this morning… Soooo, I said screw it. Not waiting that long. I can get cheaper stuff at WAGW :) ) Hahaha

I bought a few pretty things on the way to the car, and made my way to Galleria (which, by the way, was also on sale!) Can I just say, Manila, this is one crazy weekend. After getting annoyed at everyone panic buying, the shopping adrenaline kicked in and I ended up panic buying myself. Will not divulge exactly how bad it was, but lets just say I got a semi-huge cut on my thigh because of it. Hope my dresses will be able to conceal it for tomorrow’s shoot and the two events with Preview in Cebu. Its so strange that I make my way to Manila when the whole Preview team is in Cebu. And you guys know how much I love Preview.

Tonight, I will dose myself with some hydrating masques from Kiehl’s and then get some shut eye.

Tomorrow’s gonna be one LOOOONG day.

We’re getting there

I get attracted to pretty random things.

I have a bunch of awesome looking buttons, swatches of cloth that I’m probably never going to use, cute embellishments and beads to name a few. Maybe its the budding designer within me (ha!) or my inability to resist the urge to shop, even for the most mundane things.

On a trip to the textile store, I felt somewhat crafty. I picked up a bunch of faux pearls, and decided to make something with it. The crafty side of me doesn’t come very often, so once it does, I make sure to attend to the desire and create! A few stitches later, I finally come up with my first pair of pearly shorts, and Im loving every inch of them!

Thanks you JackKaye for the photos!

Send me some love on Lookbook and Chictopia!

Also, I have a few discoveries I wanna share with you.

1. I just got the NARS lipstick in Roman Holiday last Sunday, because I lost the pink lipstick I used during my last shoot with Edric. I must say, the color is stunning, and the consistency of the product is perfect. My lips are kept moisturized and soft while the color stays on for a very long time. This may be a risky thing to say, but I think NARS is probably the best lipstick I’ve ever had!

2. My mom lets me put on some SKII post toner and pre-moisturizer. Its an added step to your skin care regimen, but she swears it works. I’ve only started using it, so I really can’t tell you if I personally like it, but its worth a shot. My sister in law says her blemishes reduced dramatically, and she’s had to use less and less foundation everyday. Convincing!

3. I use this deep plum eye shadow with a bit of shimmery champagne from the same brand to create a playful smokey eye. I love how pigmented it is, and how nice the colors come out. You don’t have to apply a lot of it to get the colors to pop, so the little pot actually lasts for a long time!

4. The Bare Minerals starter set isn’t a new discovery. I used this my entire collage life, because its very light weight and breathable. While foundation usually cakes up or looks awful when we sweat, bare minerals continues to look natural. I’m giving some extra love to their bronzer, Warmth, because it makes you look like your glowing more and more the longer you have it on!

Hope you guys can give these products a try and let me know what you think! :)

Of course you did

I will once again talk in non-unified sentences.

Today morning:

I had a really bad day, and I really think wearing jeans was the culprit.

Interviewed a pretty girl, and ate my heart out. Mmm red velvet and coffee.

Went on a model scour and Jeff convinced himself that he was destined to put up his own modeling/escort agency. Ha.

Attended a fashion show/vintage car show too. Was surrounded by Cebu’s socialites, a.k.a. old people. Harhar. I kid.

Today evening:

Just had another shoot today for our next collection. My house is amazingly convertible.

Young people make me feel old, and its weird considering I’m only 20.

Been meaning to write about my “Social Network experience” but the files are like 6MB each and I have no time to convert! Will do soon, promise.

I’ve got a short attention span

More photos from Edric‘s lookbook set:

I did a little post processing on Edric and Ira’s photos and came up with the picture above. I kind of wish I knew how to use photoshop more, cause it took me so much time to blend them together! After all the hard work, I realized it looked like crap, so I desaturated it and went for that instead. Sigh. Mediocrity haha. Must learn photoshop!

Edric's photo

After looking all the pictures from our set, I noticed that all of us had a photo with Ira…

Except cams! How weird and totally random. I’ll still post a photo of her though, because I think her pants are awesome, and I think she looks great in whatever she wears!

Another great set with Edric. Can’t wait for our shoot tomorrow!

Stop crazy people

Hi everyone!
Okay, I know I look like a total retard, my letters look weird and my arrows aren’t by any chance symmetric, but let me explain.

After months of useless facebook reporting and warning, angry emails still keep coming my way, asking if I am in any way related to “kryzzzie uy” who later changed her name to “kryzz uy” and then to “thirstythought shop.” The answer is no. All those names belong to one account, the same one who has been using my photos and the photos of other bloggers as well, claiming to be me, and selling my stuff. The name changes keep coming because everytime she does, the reports filed against her previous name disappear.

*FACEBOOK YOU ARE SO FRUSTRATING!*

I have no idea why this particular user is so hard to stop. This isnt the first incident of a fake facebook account, it’s like the fifth or sixth, but for some reason, facebook wont do anything about her. WHY????

The scamming has got to stop. I hear she’s ripped off over 100,000 pesos already!
A bunch of readers emailed me suggesting I post a photo of myself stating which account is really mine. Apparently, its worked with others before. So, here goes. I’m mirror imaging my letters (so its readable through photobooth), and hoping that someone in power sees this and does something about it.

Feel free to spread the word (or the photo, even if it does suck.)

Hotel H2O`s ecospa

Today, I flew to Manila.

I got invited by Hotel H2O`s new Zenyu Ecospa, and they were nice enough to let me bring Kwon along! The spa is located at the third floor of Hotel H2O, a new establishment owned and operared by Manila Ocean Park. Kwon and I were really impressed by the cleanliness and decor of the hotel. We entered the third floor and we welcomed by a set of suede sofas, mosaic walls, and pillars with metal H2O`s all over it. We`re not experts, but we thought the interior aesthetic was very easy, despite it`s heavy design elements.

Deeper into the floor was the reception area for the spa, where we were met and greeted with enthusiasm (excellent service!). The receptionist gave us a quik tour, and explained the new concept they were bringing into the Philippines. It`s called the negative ion, and they have tons of technical stuff to prove that it works. Some kind of oil was placed on your fingers, and when put under the microscope, we saw a slow moving flow of blood. We were told that after the ''hot bed experience,'' the flow would dramatically change (and it did!) I`m not and easy believer, but science doesn`t lie!

The concept of the HOT BED:
''Science has made us aware of the healing power of nature. The energy we get from nature is repricated by deoxidizers emitting negative ions. Neative ions are invisible molecules we inhale in certain environments like mountains, beaches and waterfalls.

Descover how these electrical charges in the air can remarkably imrove overall health and wellness. Indulge over tons of negative ions using the hot bed theraphy, a speciall technology from the ecoparadise chain of Japan.''

''The hot bed is said to rejuvenate, relax, improve blood circulation, strengthen the immune system, improve metabolism and blood pressure, reduce cholestrol and body toxins, relieve allergies, colds and constipation.''

We were also shown a bunch of things that have the negative ion technology in them. It was really quirky and kind of strange to be seeing inspoiled food after months of storage, but it proved their point.

After the tour, Kwon and I got to try out the Hot Bed ourselves for around 30 minutes. I was terrified because I still had a bunch of appointments for the rest of a day. I was worried that I wouldn`t look presentable after spending time sweating like hell in a hot bed dry sauna. But, it was too late to turn back now. We went to a room dressed in our scrubs, and sweated those 30 minutes away.

Surprisingly, we came out of it feeling fresh and odor free! Our bodies weren`t even sticky nor our breaths heavy. I`d have to say, I was impressed!

After cooling down, we both got treated to a nice and relaxing swedish massage. Just the perfect to cap a very delightful experiance.

Thank you Hotel H2O!

Hotel H2O is located at Luneta Manila 1000 Philippines, beside Manila Ocean park.
You can reach them at 02 238 6100 or 6190.
