LEVI’S x THIRSTYTHOUGHT GIVEAWAY!!!!!

You guys may have noticed that I don’t wear jeans a lot.

In fact, I think I’ve only went out of the house in jeans about 5 times in the last 3 years. Why? Well, I’ve never really enjoyed the snugness, they always made me feel uncomfortable and there was always something off about the fit! I’m sure a lot of people know what I mean. Muffin tops, gaping butts, sausage legs, camel toes- the list goes on!

Thankfully, there is a solution to all our jean-woes. Imagine my excitement when the Levi’s team contacted me and told me about their new line, Levi’s Curve ID. It solves everything! Its a new revolutionary way of finding your perfect jean fit! All in all, Levi’s Curve ID Jeans are “new custom fits for women that are based on shape not size”, and there are 3 basic body shapes—Slight Curve, Demi Curve and Bold Curve.

This new line will be launched on their October 28 show at Philippine Fashion Week, so if you’re interested, read on!

The good people at Levi’s together with the good people at thirstythought (aka Me haha) have decided to tie up and give you guys a chance to watch the launch of their new collection LIVE at PFW! The show is about a week from now, so starting tomorrow (Oct 22) to Oct 27, I’m giving away 2 tickets to their show DAILY! You all get a chance to be a part of this revolution, all you need to do is:

1. Follow thirstythought on facebook and twitter.

2. Tell us your jean frustrations (one liners please) and post them here. (No frustrations left as a comment on this blog, please)

3. Tag me on twitter with a post saying: I want some Levi’s Curve ID!

4. Leave a comment on this post with your facebook and twitter usernames!

Winners will be chosen via random.org, so good luck to everyone!!!

P.S.

Only FB entries (with twitter posts) will be recognized! Entries from tonight will be counted as entries for tomorrow!

P.P.S.
Spent a very long and fruitful day at LTO, third times the charm!!!! More about my adventure tomorrow!

Style Bible Supplements

What do you think of our outfits? :) We all got them custom made by Jun Escario (although I did mention previously that I had another gorgeous dress by Camille Co that I was unable to wear!) Jun scared my sisters at first, because his designs were so over the top, and we weren’t sure if Cebu was ready for it! Thank God for compromise and Jun’s perfect translation, we got the exact looks we wanted! All you need is a little trust, I guess! Special thanks to Dior Co for my make up and Jessie Glova for theirs! Also, I must mention that all vintage bags we used were from my mom, who has a stunning stunning collection!

Mini side track: vote for JackKaye and I at Stylestar on Stylebible.ph!

Gretchen Choa-Uy (my sister in law), Cybil Gayatin (half of A-List Events and Preview Party mastermind), Mia Arcenas, Kristina Monsanto and Paolo Berdin (Best dressed of the night!), Katsy Borromeo (Zee Lifestyle Managing Editor), Gayle Urgello, Angel Luzano (former face of WAGW), Nicole Tseng and Meme Dakay.

Too bad my bestfriend was too shy to have her photo taken on the wall! She looked gorgeous in a Mique Yapching original!

Feeling Nylon and the Preview at 15 Party

Clothes by WAGW

Attended the Preview- Havaiana’s cocktails at Maya and the Preview anniversary party at Penthouse straight from the airport last Saturday! Good thing I already had make-up on from my shoot! Many thanks to Dior Co for the awesomely awesome smokey eye! It was such a big hit! Also, many thanks to Jun Escario for my dress. I was supposed to wear Jun’s lovely creation for the cocktails and Camille Co’s stunning skater inspired PEFTA dress for the party, but there was a bit of a car accident/fiasco, and I never got to wear Camille’s dress! :( So sorry Camille! It was absolutely beautiful, and Im devastated that I wasn’t able to wear it!

The party was a hit though! Penthouse was super crowded as the night drew on. I guess they didn’t care for the guest list anymore since everyone was pretty wasted already.

Anyway, Its monday again, and that means back to work!

By the way, the facebook scammer/identity theif is still alive and kicking. Please delete/block user, and help me spread the word!

Heres to hoping

Hello Manila!

Traffic was INSANE today. It took me two full hours to get to Ortigas from the airport! I went over to SM Megamall (because I didn’t know that the sale was mall-wide) and saw the freakishly long lines to get in F21. People were coiling around the entire wing! I walked past the line and I swear I could hear snickers (probably girls saying “She has no idea what she’s in for!”) I asked the girl in front how long she’s been in line, and she said she’s been there since this morning… Soooo, I said screw it. Not waiting that long. I can get cheaper stuff at WAGW :) ) Hahaha

I bought a few pretty things on the way to the car, and made my way to Galleria (which, by the way, was also on sale!) Can I just say, Manila, this is one crazy weekend. After getting annoyed at everyone panic buying, the shopping adrenaline kicked in and I ended up panic buying myself. Will not divulge exactly how bad it was, but lets just say I got a semi-huge cut on my thigh because of it. Hope my dresses will be able to conceal it for tomorrow’s shoot and the two events with Preview in Cebu. Its so strange that I make my way to Manila when the whole Preview team is in Cebu. And you guys know how much I love Preview.

Tonight, I will dose myself with some hydrating masques from Kiehl’s and then get some shut eye.

Tomorrow’s gonna be one LOOOONG day.

We’re getting there

I get attracted to pretty random things.

I have a bunch of awesome looking buttons, swatches of cloth that I’m probably never going to use, cute embellishments and beads to name a few. Maybe its the budding designer within me (ha!) or my inability to resist the urge to shop, even for the most mundane things.

On a trip to the textile store, I felt somewhat crafty. I picked up a bunch of faux pearls, and decided to make something with it. The crafty side of me doesn’t come very often, so once it does, I make sure to attend to the desire and create! A few stitches later, I finally come up with my first pair of pearly shorts, and Im loving every inch of them!

Thanks you JackKaye for the photos!

Send me some love on Lookbook and Chictopia!

Also, I have a few discoveries I wanna share with you.

1. I just got the NARS lipstick in Roman Holiday last Sunday, because I lost the pink lipstick I used during my last shoot with Edric. I must say, the color is stunning, and the consistency of the product is perfect. My lips are kept moisturized and soft while the color stays on for a very long time. This may be a risky thing to say, but I think NARS is probably the best lipstick I’ve ever had!

2. My mom lets me put on some SKII post toner and pre-moisturizer. Its an added step to your skin care regimen, but she swears it works. I’ve only started using it, so I really can’t tell you if I personally like it, but its worth a shot. My sister in law says her blemishes reduced dramatically, and she’s had to use less and less foundation everyday. Convincing!

3. I use this deep plum eye shadow with a bit of shimmery champagne from the same brand to create a playful smokey eye. I love how pigmented it is, and how nice the colors come out. You don’t have to apply a lot of it to get the colors to pop, so the little pot actually lasts for a long time!

4. The Bare Minerals starter set isn’t a new discovery. I used this my entire collage life, because its very light weight and breathable. While foundation usually cakes up or looks awful when we sweat, bare minerals continues to look natural. I’m giving some extra love to their bronzer, Warmth, because it makes you look like your glowing more and more the longer you have it on!

Hope you guys can give these products a try and let me know what you think! :)

The Social Network

On my last trip to Manila, Mike and I got invited to watch the special screening of “the social network.” It was pretty cool to get to know the story behind facebook, especially since Im currently having a problem with identity theft because of it! Mike and I couldn’t stop raving about the movie to our friends. It was so good. Cinematography was great, acting was great, and the story line was great. Everything kind of just works! Can you believe that Facebook is now valued at 25 Billion dollars? Its no wonder Mark Zuckerberg refused to sell it! I don’t want to spill any more details, so you guys have to watch it yourselves. It’s coming out on October 27, so don’t miss it!

Of course you did

I will once again talk in non-unified sentences.

Today morning:

I had a really bad day, and I really think wearing jeans was the culprit.

Interviewed a pretty girl, and ate my heart out. Mmm red velvet and coffee.

Went on a model scour and Jeff convinced himself that he was destined to put up his own modeling/escort agency. Ha.

Attended a fashion show/vintage car show too. Was surrounded by Cebu’s socialites, a.k.a. old people. Harhar. I kid.

Today evening:

Just had another shoot today for our next collection. My house is amazingly convertible.

Young people make me feel old, and its weird considering I’m only 20.

Been meaning to write about my “Social Network experience” but the files are like 6MB each and I have no time to convert! Will do soon, promise.
