Hello everyone!

Again, I will sencerely apologize for the lack of wit, coherence and unity of this post. Exhaustion kills.

Perks of being petite:Being able to wear shirts/sweaters as dresses (Or being able to shop at Zaras kids!)

Last night, (or early this morning) I fell asleep at 5 AM and woke up to a set of incredably horrible puffy eyes. The lack of cucumber or ice in this house prevented me from temporary relief, and kept me feeling incredably tired (and gross) through out the day. :(

I had a cute little shoot whit Rachel Alcantara scheduled (I say cute and little because it was 30 minutes shoot! haha), and thus had to make up dosage to camouflage the swelling. Thank God for liquid eyeliner.

I was looking forward to eating at home tonight, since I was feeling really tired and sleepy. All I could think of was grabbing my blanket, sipping some hot chocolate and calling it a day. Unfortunately, I was locked out of the house, and I had to wait for our cook to come home couse she`s the only one whit a key. Thank God Steve was kind enought to adobt me for dinner. He lives really close to Galleria, so it was pritty convenient set up. And thus, I spent another night flooded whit Med jokes. (I kid, Steve!!!!!!!!!!!!! Haha, totally love them!)

Now, I will finally finally go to bed.

Tomorrow shoot whit Edric and some very interesting people! :D

Thanks to SIN for the dress and Michael Antonio for the shoes!

Hi everyone!
Last night, my CADs babies (now Michi’s babies) competed against 20 schools and placed 3rd in the Maximum groovity competition! I’m so proud of the girls! They did such an awesome job, I swear! (So you think you can dance level!) Their concept was amazing and their performance was absolutely breathtaking! I wish the dance could have gone on longer cause I couldn’t tear my eyes away from them! I’m totally psyched for whatever comes their way next, couse I`m sure they`ll totally kill it!

I just came from the shoot, one of three schedulef for this trip! Phew, Im exhausted already. I totally fell asleep in the car (something difficuld to do in Cebu, since car drives are usually short!), and crashed into my bed 30 minutes ago. But alas, I must get back to work! Haste makes waste and time is money! haha (wtf is wrong whit me lately?)

Dont forget to head over Rockwell this weekend and check out WAGW at the Urban Bazaar! Today is our last day, so be sure to drop by! I can`t wait to see everyone! xx

Young and full of running

————————————————–
Very long day today.
Thank you RYAN UY for being so incredibly awesome and for lending us your car on this bloody thursday! I hate coding!
Met a bunch of people from college at the strangest times and places!
I give myself a pat on the back for a productive day, filled with much physical activity (lifting heavy boxes of clothes and metal racks!)
Too tired to be coherent. Again.
See you tomorrow at Rockwell! xx

What do you mean ''only in the Philippines''?

When the smoke cleared and the bodys were counted, as Mendoza`s story slowly is spread to a visibly shaken nation, I am shattered by the vicious remarks brought to my doorstep courtesy of Facebook. I see words like ''only in the Philippines'' and ''nakakahiya tayo''. Here are my countrymen, talking about themselves as though everything that have been done wrong at the Quirino Grandstand was a national trait, as though stubidy were possible only here and the only ones capable of it are Filipinos. And then, I remember whit sadness that it is also my own countrymen, who, when seeing a beautiful place in the Rebublic say whit awe, ''Ang ganda dito, parang wala tayo sa Pilipinas!''

Of course P/Insp R. Mendoza comitted a criminal act. Of course the police officers and media persons and networks could have handled matters in a more sensitive and timely manner. But it also especially hurts when these mistakes are ascribed as national traits. Only in the Philippines daw. And only Filipinos could screw up this badly.
The vultures can’t resist jeering and insulting. Stupid media. Stupid cops. Stupid Mendoza. Stupid by-standers. The Filipino nation is stupid.
Excuse me?
Our ancestors believed in the concept of an afterlife when many other peoples of the world were still figuring out how to make stone tools. Our forebears crossed the Pacific years before the Vikings crossed the Atlantic. They cultivated rice when many others were still living in caves. They had the first revolution in Asia that united no less than three disparate linguistic groups through a leader named Diego Silang whose wife became his successor. This nation produced women leaders and warriors when much of Europe still considered the female gender as mere chattel. My country abolished slavery two hundred years ahead of the so called New World. My country, whose history and treasures remain mysteries to its own children, cannot and should not be defined by the mistakes of yesterday’s events
And we will not be defined by this tragedy. But we must learn from it. And the first lesson should and ought to be not to add any more hurt to a nation prostate with grief. So much blood ignites so much passion. But we can either flagellate ourselves until there is nothing left of our self esteem. Or we can turn this into an impetus for change. Real change.
So, I will mourn today. I will grieve for all the victims, yes Mendoza included. I will mourn for all the ignorance that makes an embarassing display of itself in times of crisis. I will mourn for the good men and women of the PNP who feel the brunt of the national outrage, but who will go to work tomorrow and still go after the bad guys, still keep us safe. I will mourn for media persons who must live with the effects of their live broadcasts.

But after that, I will choose hope and faith in my countrymen.

A letter from a teenager Filipino to the WHOLE WORLD

As you are reading this letter, I bet that you have seen/heard about what happened earlyer in our country.

Tourist were hostages of a policeman here, Ronaldo Mendoza. After a few hours of the horrible crime, some of the victims were dead ingluding the hostage-taker.

I wrote this letter not just to apologize but also to let everyone know that we Filipinos are not all like Mendoza. We are loving and good-hearted people.

For so many years, our country has been standing tall and surpassing every dilemma; be it small or big. Years ago (When I wasn`t even born yet.), you have whatched us fight for what we think is right. We fought for the democracy of our nation... The EDSA revolution. But that`s just one out of many.

Second, we Filipinos have been serving other coutrys for our families and we treat you as our own as well. Whit all due respect, I think you all will giving us the trust thought the years. For helping us to become what we are now.

The Philippines is more than just a group of islands. We are a nation of strong and remarkble people. A country of beauty and love known to be hospitable and well-valued. I humbly  apologize for what happened tonight. No one in this world would want something like that to happen for life shuld be valued.

A politely ask the attention of the world. Please do not judge and mistreat us just because of what happened tonight. I have been searching the net, and found terrible things. Hong Kong advice to avoid travels here, China and HK bans Filipinos and that Philippines is the worse place to go.

I can`t blame you for what you have decided but I hope that you could understund. Our country is right now in the sea of problems. And I know for sure that we helped you the way or nother. Let peace and understunding reign this time.

I know this letter will just be trash but I whis that you would understund. On behalf of the Philippine population...WE  ARE SORRY!

As a song puts it...
''And I believe that in my life I will see an end hopenessless, givin-up and suffering. And we all stand up for this one time then no one will get left behind. Stand up for life. STAND UP FOR LOVE!''

Sincerely yours,
Reigno Jose Dilao.

She has so much to say

Last weekend, I was swamped whit so much work. Let me tell you about it.

I had to wake up by 4am on the first day to pick up my friend Edric from the airport. He flew in to take photos of our S/S 2011 collection and took the 4:30AM flight from Manila. I guess I was too exited (Or stressed about having to wake up so early) that I woke up by 3am instead of 4, and coulden`t go back to bed! The shoot went out pritty well. I still am, and allways will be impressed by Edric`s unusual eye for style and art direction. Gari Son, our make up artist, was a thrill to work whit. He kept the athmosphere light and was incredably entertaining! You will be suprised to see his brilliant masterpieces when we debut our collection early next year! The models were pritty great as well. I think I made the right decision who to get. I just wish they had a more professionam agent (someone who would actually answer the phone, not leave his cliant hanging and not ask his cliant to call him just so he could yell about the stubid mistakes he made all by himself in the firt place.) The shoot took the hole day and we were pritty darn exhousted after it. Thank God I was able to cencel my would-have-been-styling-and-writing-appointment for that night, couse I really don`t think I would have done any more!

The next two shoots weren`t as long and stressfull. I had another set whit the Lea Ann , the miracle worker. I swear, this girl takes and hour to do 10 outfits! It`s a gift! Lea also takes the photos of me above during our last shoot. Im totally feeling all Harriet the spy on this! Can`t wait to see the photos, and I can`t wait to wark whit her again!

The last shoot I had is a suprise! More details when the pictures come out because they`re just too cute to leave a few sentence about! x

Dad got me this awesome new camera because I told him I needed a point and shoot that takes good pictures for my blog. Thanks to Releene for suggesting it! I wanted to get the new LX5 but they didin`t have it yet, and I coulden`t wait anymore. Plus, I`m total photography newb and the only thing I can never do is set it on automatic! I was so inspired (and feeling photographer) when I got it, that I annoyed everyone by takeing photos of our dishes for lunch, and refusing to let anyone take a bit before I shoot it! haha

Also, I`ll be flying to Manila tomorrow because WAGW is coing to be at the Rockwell Urban Bazaar! Rowler hats and colorfull casio whatches will be on sale together whit items from our online collection! This is the first bazaar that I`m handling all by myself, so whis me luck! (and please do visit!)

I mentioned before that my Nicole Warne look was flagged for deletion by lookbook. They sent me an email whit the rules and it said that ''full body photos are required. Any photo that fails to display at least head-to-knees or neck-to-toe will be deleted.'' I`m pritty bummed out about it really liked that photo and I didn`t have one whit my knees showing, but it`s okey.

At least it got it`s fair share of hype from Ib and Chictopia.

And atleast Nicole got to see it ! <3

Crap

There is too much going on in Philippines right now. I can`t think of a decent post that doesn`t involve the sad and embrassing events of the incident in Manila tonight. Know though that in my current state, I`m very sleepy and very incoherent. (Hense, ill postpone my would be rant and daily story.) What the hell is happening? What`s whit the sudden outbreak of crime and natural calamity????????????? God help us!

P.s.
Support my CADs babies this friday at the maxium Groovity 6 competition!

P.p.s.
Lookbook deteled my Nicole Warne look! :(

Lexa black

Came from a shoot for details by details today. Day trip to La Union! haha.

On our way back home, a jeepney totally crashed into our car and rammed his door on my side! I saw him coming at us incredibly fast, but I tought he`d slow down...Apparently not! Thank God no one was hurt!

On other news:
This shoe sounds like a stripper. I totally love it.
Thanks to Michael Antonio for the awsome set of heels!

All we ever do

In a Span of one week, this sheer cardigan was worn five times. Thrice by me, and twice by my sister. I know I know, what was I thinkin? Well, there`s just something about this cardigan that I cant get over. Semi sheer, electric pleats, pearl buttons, big bow....whats not to love? Of course, I didn`t wear it to the same places. I wore it to work, to a dinner date and to a photoshoot. Its just too umbelivably convertible and so easy to throw on whit absolutely anything! I was debating wether to get the lavender or blush colored one, and it took me quit a long time to deside. Blush won me over simply because I bought it whit this grey dress. Pink and grey make me swoon.

This weekend will be incredibly photo heavy! I`m having 4 photoshoots in 3 days! I can`t lie and pretend I`m exited. I`m exited for the photos, but not the hours of grueling labor that go into them! Im incredably devastated because I had to turn down some projects that I already agree on doing, because my schedule just won`t permit. I think I pritty much dessapointed few people. I really wish I could be superwoman and do everything at once, but alas, I can not. :( Nothing left to do but wish myself some luck.

We got the afternoon

Thanks to JackKaye for the photos!

Thanks to Sin for the top! I never wear such shiny pieces, but I loved the change and trying to make it work appropiate. (yes, this outfit is work appropiate, for I am my own boss! bwhahaha) I also loved the deep V back detail! Ultimate lifesaver from the heat when layering!

I got this blazer from WAGW but I`ve never ever used it out of the house (pang photoshoot lang). This sold out like hot cakes when it came out couse it was so cheap and the cloth wasn`t too thick for tropical weather. If you`re from the PH, tell me if you want it, I can sell it to you for 300 bucks :D [*edit: okay, that was fast! Sorry guys, blazer sold out!]

The necklace is still available online. Just link in my photo, fill this out Just link in my photo, fill this out ( http://wagw.multiply.com/photos/album/8/Place_Your_Orders_Here ) and WAGW can process your order. I wear it whit basic pieces and it automatically looks chic!:D Its only Php298.

Tomorrow and the coming days will be super duper hectic for me cause I have so many projects to work on! I have a meeting whit Zee yesterday, and Im so exited to work whit such well known people! WAGW is getting me really busy as well. All that plus a ton of photo shoots and interviews makes one busy busy week! Just a heads up incase I don`t get to blog as often.

Also, WAGW will be at the Rockwell Urban Bazaar on August 27-29! See your there!

There is nothing like an oversized white polo (another steal from my moms closet!) and some basic denim shorts for that lazy day outfit. Too bad you can`t see the shorts Im wearing. I had a little DIY project going on, and I sewed a lot of pearls into it. Will post photos soon! Also, I am totally loving my sunglasses. I don`t know if any of you have noticed, but I keep wearing them! They`re a bigger tinted version of Mike`s Ninoy Aquino glasses and they make me feel so retro! Lastly, thanks to Michael Antonio for the awesome set of heels! http://www.michaelantonio.multiply.com/

A peace of advice

Sometimes letting go of things seem impossible to do. We can try very hard to tell ourselves that we need to remember- that we deserve to. In the end though, holding on to something for too long will end up destroying you and everything else you stand for. Stop hanging on to thoughts that you’re uncertain of, and thoughts that haunt you. Stop trying to grasp for attention by bringing back false memories. Too much talk might turn everyone against you. Live in the day when the skies are bright, and relish the moment when you can finally find your way home.

Thanks for the photo, Edric Chen. :D

I am in love with anything that looks like my grandmother could have worn it when she was younger. I heard that writers aren’t allowed to use the term “vintage” anymore, so i’ll stick to “clothes with character.” When asked to describe my sense of style, a part of my answer always has something to do with creating more modern dimensions to clothes with character. I love getting to change the image of one item of clothing by how I decide to wear it. I love taking something seemingly unwearable and trying to make it modern and appropriate. My sister always tells me “that is so YOU” when she sees me eyeing ancient cuts and styles. When I shop with my mom, I usually end up getting the “older looking” items while she buys the brightly colored trendy ones. Strange.

I just had to do it

I grabbed my travel essentials,
found the wonderful creature,

and hopped on.

To those of you who don`t know, I am OBSESSED whit ELEPHANTS. OBSESSED!! I have a ton of elephant accessories, and I almost died when my when my most resent elephant ring from F21 broke before I even wore it!
*sheds tear*
Thank you for my awesome mom and sister to agreeing to let me do this. Altough I think they just wanted me to stop bladding about how much I wanted to do it!

P.S.
Here`s a treat for those of you who knows the kids at home!

Make your own story

You guys have no idea what it feels like to wear A/W clothes during dry season in a tropical country. Thank God Edric was nice enough to edit out the sweat beads on my face! haha.

This night I went to rehearsal and learned my pritty awesome and pritty back breaking Arabian pas de deux. After your years of zero ballet, I have 3 months to get in shape and contort my body like never before. I have that much time to perfect splitting on all ways and all sides possible and having someone lift me around and spin me while keeping my face perfectly calm. I have never realized the extent of how much it sucks to be out of shape until now (well, maybe other than my post-paris fat phase). Goodluck, me.

I went on my 3rd Arabian dance rehearsal today, and I have to admit, I’m absolutely enjoying it! Yes, my muscles are a bit sore and I feel like they’ve been on hibernate for too long, but Im totally psyched about dancing again and moving my fat ass away from the computer. Strangely, Im having a much easier time reacquainting myself with old dance habits than trying to control my raving stomach. I seem to think its perfectly acceptable to chow down an entire buffet table as a much deserved self-pampering after rehearsal. Old habits like these are hard to break. Thank God I still have 3 more months before I reveal my belly!
Tomorrow, Im going to another shoot with the bestfriend! We’re going to WOW downtown Cebu with our awesomely “thick faces” (kapal mukha; baga’g nawng) Excited! <3
